Maps and Other Visual Presentations
In Summer of 2014 I was selected to be one of two students from Kent State University to participate in GLISTEN, also known as the Great Lake Innovative Stewardship through Innovation Network. This is the poster presentation that was completed and presented at The National Center for Science and Civic Engagement's National Symposium which is held yearly in Washington DC. The image above depicts 2 years of Tree Inventory at Kent State University. It is a ongoing project at the University to inventory the entire Urban Forest located on campus. It has been part of my responsibilities for the last three years to collect data about Kent State University's Urban Forest and also to train other students in the collection of this data including but not limited to information on tree size and needed maintenance. All of the data that is collected is handed over to the University for use in their management plans.
